Surface in Motion

Born from a past exploration, this study reimagines a façade of traditional lap siding by turning it vertically and anchoring it with a single horizontal line. Above and below, the lap direction reverses, creating a surface that is never still. At certain moments, it almost reads as one continuous plane; at others, it reveals delicate contrasts; at others still, dramatic, seemingly fluted shadows emerge. Across days and seasons, the wall becomes a register of changing light, an architecture of simple means, yet infinite variation.
