Green Springs Renovation

What do you do with a 50 year old big box retail building that has out lived its life expectancy?  That is the question we were asked by a landlord who was trying to decide if the bones of the building were worth saving.  We decided to use a paneled product to accentuate the new tenant entrances to help break up the large building façade.  We also used an undulating ribbon of metal that moves down the face of the building, creating an ever changing reflection of light from the sun and interesting shadows cast on the existing brick below.  So designing a new energetic presence, while being sensitive to the landlord’s limited budget, became the challenge of this project which we gladly accepted.
