XTR Eames

Asked to re-imagine the Plastic Molded Chair by Charles and Ray Eames was a privilege we received from a local charity who used it as a fundraiser and an opportunity that we did not take lightly.  Masters of their craft, manipulating the molded portion of the chair was off limits.  So with that set, we immediately removed the legs and set out on our journey.  Looking to push the boundaries of "chairness", we used plywood (inspired by Ray and Charles) to expand the function of the chair to hold more than just a bottom, but books, plants, a mug of hot tea, etc.  Then letting the infamous Eames Dot Pattern create a thought provoking backdrop.
